The Lounge

Well, this is kind of a first for me, I had no idea there was a first class lounge in the Okinawa airport. I thought it was a normal Sakura (which is a mixed business/first lounge).

Dining

So, the food service, at the pick and go area, are limited to rice balls.
The private security for those with first access The special end of the lounge (not that sketchy business class side) Where I was sitting (it was hard to photo here, very busy and Japanese don't play well with pictures) Where you take your calls because being on a phone is rude No phone zone I had to wait hours for this to clear out. Where one does work A really far in the back area for overflow, quite spartan and uncomfortable Lotsa sake, not a lot of my stuff. The scotch sufficed I have a high flying friend who'd love the beer machines (Hey JD!) I um, rice balls for food. I don't know if there was an order menu, but wow. Not impressed Where you sit to eat (not enforced at all) More ice cream, this is an excellent part of Japanese culture

Summary

Well, I mean, it's a higher scale lounge but there are some gaps. You have your own special security line (massive bonus), but the food was really lacking. I should have walked over to the Sakura side but I didn't.

Exits into the secured airport area to your flights, which is convenient. Now... Osaka, 2nd largest city in Japan, has crap lounges, one biz class and a lot of "rent a lounge" places. But here in Okinawa, a first class lounge. This does not make sense to me at all.
