The Lounge

An intimate lounge on the level above the departure gates. Very removed from the noise outside with self-serve food and alcohol. Not a ton of seating, but it did not hit capacity. There's also a special room for those actually flying first class (think Concorde room, but really small) with much better drinks.
Decent drink, well that Absolut is suspect, but BA is a gin audience anyways
Middle grade wine, it was pleasant and smooth
Get the bread course in
The hot food. The curry was excellent
Salads and dessert, I had the chocolate cake and didn't regret the decision
The area set for dining, which is not where the rebel Rob chose to eat
The stretch out seats with kinda a view of the terminal through the frosted glass
More seating, with a Middle Eastern flair (hint, this is where Rob ate)
The exclusive, the private, the not letting me in this time due to not flying actually in first, The Bar

Summary

British Airways mixed business/first lounges always seem to lean quite more towards the business end than first. There is The Bar to try to make up for that, but it's a much more limited access.

No showers present in this particular lounge but since it's not a transit hub, I am guessing it's not a problem. This is much better than sitting in the terminal for sure, and the food is pretty tasty.
