The Lounge

When flying out of MSP (Minneapolis International Airport) during a later than 6am flight, I will consider getting access to this lounge located above the main "mall" area in the center of the terminal, because American doesn't have a lounge. (It's the only major airline group that doesn't, go figure) Not wanting to sit in the noise and cramped area way down at the end of Terminal E, at $40 a shot, this isn't a bad option and sadly the only one I can get into here.

Dining Area

Decent enough sized lounge, it's never been full in the couple of times I have used it. Several well-established breaks between the types of areas in the lounge make it feel a little more intimate.
The dining area where you can eat the food from the buffet in a more dedicated fashion Buffet food, it's... well, it's ok. I wasn't really impressed with it, lots of odd things

Seating and Amenities

A kind of dedicated business area bench that I have used while working before heading off on a flight. General seating obviously designed with couples in mind. The bar, well, you have to pay for drinks.
Sit, relax, away from airport noise The bar. Stocked but not free
Snack, newspaper and magazine station

Summary

It's a decent place away from the noise and bustle of the airport. I find it generally pretty good, especially when it's my only option here to utilize. Yes, it's worth the $40 if you have a couple hours to kill.
