Le Westin Hotel, Montreal Quebec
I had a decent length of stay in Montreal and not all hotel nights are equal on price on all days, so at first, I stayed at the Le Westin Hotel. Why Le? It's French silly. Everything is Le this or that.Arrival
Since there is no real decent public transport to and from the airport, I got a taxi. There is a bus, but I dislike those. So, traffic being traffic, I finally got to the hotel at like 7 (landed at 4 something, immigration line was terrible). Got to the front desk and waffled back and forth about upgrades. Seems the upgrade actually was a downgrade in size, but "Oh, on the top floor". Highly disappointing for a luxury hotel.
The Room
The room. Not much more to say on this.Dining
The dining and bar is called Gazette. I don't know what that means, but, this was a really excellent place to eat.Amenities
A very interesting pool and a good gym. Also a market to buy stuff so you don't have to try to find it in the city.
The car porte cochere
Pretty decent sized lobby, many just waiting for cars and vans to get them
I swear the 'upgrade' is the smallest room on the entire floor, also there is no club lounge anymore
The dining, it was actually very good
Great drinks, good service. Not super busy
That's quite a wine wall
Crepes and Pancakes did not leave you wanting
All the jams and spreads for your breads
All of that food and I choose the same thing as always
Nice pool, was difficult to find it empty for this shot
Yes, that's the floor of the pool, way up there over the driveway. No, I do not think it is a good idea
Good mix, peeps on the treadmills so you can't see but there were a lot of them
