Hilton Surfers Paradise Resort

I was purposefully going back to Surfers Paradise because I wanted to rollerblade the ocean path. I had already stayed at the JW, but I needed more things for people to know about, so I found a good rate at the Hilton Surfers Paradise Resort and booked a few nights there.

Arrival

I took the train down from Brisbane, and also back (The train is a MESS on the weekends, with buses replacing various lengths. Avoid that!). Then I got on the tram at Coomera station for my many stops to the Paradise. It's the best way I found to get north and south on the Gold Coast. Then I was barely a block away from the hotel.

The Room

Having difficulties trying to garner a suite for an upgrade, I was able to get awarded a King Ocean Panorama room, which is actually an amazing view, and a good amount of space.

Executive Lounge

Most resorts do not have an executive lounge, and I was actually surprised for once, when I got there and saw they had one. (I don't check into it when booking a resort) Kinda mind blowing. Also, since it's busy, you have to make a reservation for your time in the evening to use it, which is becoming pretty common in Asia and Australia.

Facilities

Well, it is a resort, lots of pools, and a spa that I didn't go to. I am honestly not quite sure where it was, because the beach was calling.

Dining

Lots of seating around the lobby, and at times needed while waiting for rides Not the biggest, but as they say, location is everything "No need for this with the lounge! Hilton has standardized these worldwide Yes, I did use them This is there all day Lots of seating during the day Outdoor seating for warm days (most of them) I think this is the members only pool Tasty evenings in the lounge Drink up! The gym is in the mall, and I don't believe it is heated Has all the exercise things though, so it's pretty good The main pool, quite large "For your Instagram The primary restaurant, Catch. I used it for breakfast because of the buffet The poolside bar, open only during midday to evening Ms Margot's the daytime drinks and light fare ground level Here is the bar in Margot's More seating across the way from the bar Sweet but tasty! And here we are, of course, the buffet! Sweets English fare Um... sure! Pancakes Cereal, and my choco bytes The juices, there was usually a wait, took a while to get this pic My breakfast

Summary

It's a quality property and with the location literally on Surfers Paradise, 1 block from the beach, well, you can hardly go wrong.

The Panorama room is kinda awesome. I need to work less overnight and enjoy the days I think.

If you don't get a room with lounge access, buy up to it. You'll use it.
