Arrival
I had not traveled for a while and was looking for a nice hotel for a mental break from life, and found a crazy rate at the Doubletree in Minneapolis and also remembered it was close to a lot of places to drink and eat.
I drove up and had pre-arranged parking at a different location. No in-and-out but I planned on walking everywhere anyways. Went to the hotel, checked in, dropped off my stuff, and went to store the car. Oh yeah... I had been upgraded to a 1 King Bed One Bedroom Suite (their best one).
The Room

Amenities
The hotel has a gym, a business center and a market place that you can buy from 24/7. Does one need more? I didn't, but my goals were to just relax and drink around the area.
Dining
Cafe 57, the bar and restaurant. It's a good calm but elegant affair. Nice space, great drinks, and the breakfast is pretty great too.

Summary
A great location, nice rooms, quiet hotel, I don't understand why more people don't choose this place. The rates are exceptional and you're walking distance to so much of the surviving portions of the city (Minneapolis has gotten weird in some parts due to the loss of business).
I had a very nice time here and it was very relaxing.
