Ritz Carlton, Pentagon City

It had been a long year and I hadn't really gone anywhere significant, so I found a great first class flight to DC and an acceptable rate at the Ritz Carlton, Pentagon City so it was on!

Arrival

I got a Metro card and hopped on from Washington National Airport. 2 stops later (3 minutes) I exited and the Ritz Carlton was right there. Has to be the most convienent hotel I have stayed at to date.

The Room

So I believe this is a standard king room. Top floor though, which now days is considered an upgrade (ugh right?).

Dining

The bar and restaurant, Sante, is a high end affair, and just what one would expect from the Ritz Carlton. Very Mediterranean in design, seafood features prominently and deliciously I might add.

Ritz Club Lounge

The real hidden gem of a Ritz Carlton, when they have one on the property (lots of them do) is the Club Lounge. A day long feast of food, treats, and drinks. Not free, but available to add when you check in, or as an option when you book certain rooms.

Other Spaces

Lots of convention space, but apparently very well booked. It was so busy even at 5:30am. A gym, which is healthclub level of equipment. Marketplace for items you must have right now but forgot.

Summary

5 star hotel in a city full of 5 star hotels. The lounge is just so astounding there is almost no reason to even leave the hotel. Literally at the subway stop.

My advice, get the lounge, I doubt you'll regret it.
